The influence of islam on integration of muslims into czech society

This Bachelor thesis is focused on the integration of Muslim minority into Czech society and the influence of Islam on its integration. The basic concepts of Islamic religion are defined in the theoretical part, which then continues with providing further understanding to the issue of integration of Muslims and describes the main terms. The practical part is based on a quantitative research using a survey, that is distributed within the Muslim community in the Czech Republic. The survey puts emphasis on the personal values of Muslims living in the Czech Republic, focusing on their views on gender equality, religiosity and most importantly their experience with integration into Czech society.
Role of media education in the forming of media literacy of children and young people

This theses conserns with the theme of the role of media education at formation of the media literacy of young people. This segment of population is found in the part of life, when the life values and life habits are forming This theses is conceived as theoretic - empirical cultural- studies concept, which is researching "media behavior", media literacy and it's compatibility with everyday-life of this population segment. It comes from assumption, that it is necessary to put focus on family - and school influence on formation of media literacy of young people. It aims for answering some key-questions, which flow from this assumption. The text is divided into three parts In the first, theoretical part, I pay attention to terms culture, socialization, enculturation and I engage with media communication, media literacy and media education. The next, empirical part, in which I formulize hypotheses, I put questions to them for polling and consequently based on acquired data appreciate, how much is possible the verifiing of mentioned hypotheses. The third part contains the final summary and includes generalizing interpretation of results and resumes.

Leisure as a Cultural Phenomenon Věra Patočková: Obecná teorie a dějiny umění a kultury - kulturologie PhD Thesis Abstract The main aim of the PhD. thesis is to provide the complex view of leisure from the culture studies perspective. It is expected that leisure behaviour takes always place within the framework of the specific sociocultural system. In accordance with Kelly (1987) an attempt is made to prove that leisure is always in and of its particular culture. The thesis focuses on three main topics. After introductory explanation of the main terms "culture" and "leisure" attention is focused on discussion about their relation. This discussion is based on theoretical analysis of studies that concern of leisure and approach it from the perspective of cultural studies, sociology or anthropology. Value system is an important part of all cultures. Also leisure can be seen as a part of the value system of specific society. After brief introduction to approaches of leisure and work in historical perspective, attention is focused on the explanation of the position of leisure in the value system of the Czech society and its changes. Acculturation of Expatriates in the Czech Cultural Environment

Acculturation of the sample of expatriate senior managers - sojourners working in the Czech Republic was studied using structured longitudinal survey. Quantitative analysis of the survey data was supported by qualitative analysis. For comparison, the process o acculturation was also investigated in the sample o immigrant senior managers to Australia. Major aim of this research was, apart from gaining theoretical knowledge, an attempt to better understand the process of cultural adaptation of sojourners - senior managers responsible for the transfer of management know-how to companies in the Czech Republic in order to improve their competitive advantage. The success of adaptation of sojourners - senior managers in the Czech Republic was studied using indicators of adaptation success (Reflective Effect Indicators-REI) including Goldberg's General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) and satisfaction scales. Research was longitudinal, the first interview was conducted about six months, and the second interview was conducted about eighteen months after arrival of investigated subjects into the new cultural environment. The advertising spot as a means of acculturation. The influence of advertising spots on university students in the Czech Republic.

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the online advertising spot as a means of enculturation process by which people adopt socio-cultural regulatives, ideas and artefacts of their surrounding culture, using culturological analytic point of view. The first theoretical part of thesis is focused on specification of terms of enculturation and advertising spot, describing its history, the process of advertising spot strategy development and production, psychology of advertising and changeovers in process of enculturation driven by audiovisual records and the Internet environment. The second empirical part of thesis uses the outcomes of combined research, which included semi-structured depth interviews among selected Czech Advertising and Creative Directors who are producing the audiovisual advertising spots (qualitative research) and questionnaire survey among Czech students on Czech Universities, which are influenced by online advertising environment (quantitative research). The main goal of this thesis is to bring the actual picture of enculturation process driven by online advertising spots and its impact on university students in the Czech Republic. The diploma thesis aspires, in its theoretical part, for a description of the theoretical and methodical basis and objectives of the educational process in the courses "Life and Art. " This school subject shall provide pupils of 58th grades in primary school with a basic cultural overview of medieval, Renaissance and Baroque architecture and art. The theses defines the concepts of animation, cultural animation and enculturation, experiential education, creative education and artefiletics, and outlines the prospects of their use in the educational process. The thesis also deals with the theory of perception in art and its connection to the pedagogical practice. It mentions the term genius loci as one of the elements of cognition of an architectural object and the place where it is located. In the practical part of the thesis, the individual architectural object of the Tabor Urban Conservation Area and it's immediate neighborhood are described. The thesis provides cultural, general and local historical, and also the theological context of art styles and places, which are the subject of the educational program. Following that, the thesis introduces examples of didactic methods, applicable in the courses "Life and Art."
Origin and transfer of hip hop culture focusing on the element of dance

The aim of the bachelor's dissertation is to map the history of hip hop culture and its enculturation in the world. It explains the origins of the hip hop movement, defines the basic elements and important personalities influencing its development. From the beginning it focuses mainly on the origin and development of the cultural patterns in dance. Consequently a crucial part of the work derives mainly from my experience as a professional dancer, organizer, regularly educating people abroad and actively involved in the development of this culture in our country. In general it explains the economic contribution of the culture to the world, examines the emergence and development of the culture, assesses the differences between the original and devolved formula and outlines the social structure of dancers and the infrastructure of organizations in the Czech Republic.
